BRECAP:
Today’s class was a welcome return to gi classes due to the cold. The lineup consisted of Prof, Josh, Abner, and myself who got home at 5:30AM. Strangely enough we were expecting Chad, however he was oddly absent. Usually he’d take the opportunity to come punch our pour souls in the groin, but rumor has it he was touching man groin elsewhere
Considering someone (usually myself) always has to forget something at home, Abner took it upon himself to leave his belt at home for the opportunity to use Kris’ biohazardous white belt from the Jurassic period. Abner’s medically professional opinion confirmed it is eukaryotic in nature, as the unknown bodily fluids it is stained with must have caused mutation
We began with conversion of low mount into high mount, into S-mount, and following with armbar from S-mount. This also led naturally to a lesson on armbar escapes using the legs, as well as extracurricular in which Josh and Prof somehow ended up in a bow and arrow
Following this, we covered bow and arrow escapes, as well as proper execution of the normal bow and arrow choke
To wrap our class we simulated murder with 3
rounds of solid rolls. I took it easy on Abner and let him get an Americana, but made sure to remind
him who’s boss with the threat of a heel hook. Josh
refused to allow me to do a cross-collar that more
resembles laundry folding, and secured himself
some clean submissions
Tony (purple) = 15
Josh M. (blue-3) = 8
Duy (white-4) = 0
Sam (white-3) = 24
Eddie (white-2) = 10
Chad (white-2) = 1
Brady (white-1) = 24
Abner (white) = 24
Caleb (white) = 15
Justin (white) = 6
Ryan (white) = 3
Evan (white) = 2
As the class wrapped we had to relocate our mascot Uno, and Abner made comments relating to alleged favorited gifs in my phone that would interest Chad. All I’ll say is he waited purposely till the gis were off to say such a thing. All in all another good day of BJJ
