REGULAR BJJ & JUDO SCHEDULE FOR 9 OCTOBER
We return to our regular BJJ & judo training schedule on Saturday, 9 October, after the old-fashioned butt-whipping that UF took at the hands of the Crimson Tide last week. Hopefully for the Gators, LSU is an easier opponent tonight.

JASON COMPTON= BJJ BLUE BELT
After a year and a half of dedicated training with me, it became painfully apparent that Jason Compton has satisfied all of the requirements associated with earning a blue belt in BJJ under the affiliation of Wolfpack BJJ.
On Wednesday, 15 September 2010, we slipped Jason's family into the academy for a promotion ceremony. After quickly going through the curriculum requirements for BJJ blue belt and demonstrating a basic proficiency in the application of the techniques by rolling with me for a few minutes, Jason got to strap on a new belt.
Great job, Jason. We all look forward to continuing on the journey.

GREG DIFRANZA WINS AT PAN AMS
Our instructor, Greg DiFranza, won his weight class at the Pan Ams over the weekend by defeating two opponents.
Strangely enough, he also won two medals (a gold and silver) in divisions that he did not compete in.

ORANGE PARK WOLFPACK MEETS ROYCE
Three of us attended the Royce Gracie seminar at Smiley's on Monday, August 23. It must be noted that David was the only one who actually participated (and came close to overheating in the process).
I took detailed notes on what Royce covered during the seminar, so all of us should benefit from the techniques and principles that he demonstrated for quite a while.
