SATURDAY, 23 SEPTEMBER 2017

Saturday's class had me, Ryan, Tommy, Steve, and Josh H.

The flavor of the day was arm bars and sweeps.

I taught the traditional cross arm bar from guard. We moved on from there and performed a same side arm bar from guard. Because a potential finish from that position included the flower sweep, we went over the flower sweep. Lastly, we went over a back take from guard. As always, we rolled to finish off the class.

SATURDAY, 22 JULY 2017 (EVENING CLASS)

Tonight's class had me, Jason, and Ryan.

Wrestling take downs were the techniques of choice, with several items that they have not seen being the techniques of the day.

Due to continued injury, Jason did not live roll, so Ryan and I did for about 30 minutes. I had Ryan start on my back 9 or 10 times so I could get practice escaping and defending such a disastrous position.

SATURDAY, 22 JULY 2017 (MORNING CLASS)

This morning's class had me, John, Tommy, Jordon, and Steve.

Dealing with being in half-guard was the flavor of the day. We covered several different methods for defending and passing the half-guard.

We covered the bread-cutter choke and cross-collar choke from the guard, along with slight variations.

As always, ample roll time was provided.
